Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) is an international service initiative of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, designed to enhance, preserve, and nurture the quality of life within our communities. The Phi Alpha Zeta Chapter aligns its community outreach directly with Z-HOPE’s holistic framework—focusing on mind, body, and spirit across all stages of life.

Through the heart, dedication, and collective commitment of our Sorors, Phi Alpha Zeta continues to lead with purpose. In the 2025–2026 sorority year alone, our chapter volunteered across more than 90 programs serving the Charles County community.

Our Signature Z-HOPE Programs & Initiatives

Annual Community Baby Shower & Family Resource Fair: Providing essential baby items, maternal health education, and local resources to expectant and new parents to promote healthy outcomes for families.

Elder Care: We honor and support our local seniors through seasonal outreach, including distributing holiday care baskets to local senior living facilities and hosting interactive recreational events like community bingo.

Community Health & Wellness Fairs: Bringing vital wellness resources, health screenings, and partner organizations together to empower community health.

Adopt-A-School & Youth Support: Championing local students and educators through annual school supply drives and educational support initiatives.

Food Security & Community Relief: Restocking local food pantries to combat hunger and support families experiencing food insecurity.

Environmental Stewardship: Keeping our local ecosystem clean and vibrant through regular Adopt-A-Road trash pickups.
